Headline of the News: What’s happening now in Myanmar

About 1 month ago, the Myanmar military captured and arrested leader of Myanmar, Aung Sun Su Kyi and the country had gone into a military coup. Recently, the Myanmar army has slapped two more charges of corruption and bribery, now totalling to 5 charges. Protests in the streets got more and more violent day by day. Peaceful protests turned violent after the soldiers and police killed a few of the locals who were protesting. Although casualties had surpassed 500, protesters are still continuing to take onto the streets. Myanmar militias who do not support the coup, after noticing that many people had been killed demanded the military to stop murdering civilians but to no avail.

If more Myanmar militias rise up against the military and stand beside the people of Myanmar, it’s possible that an armed revolution or civil war will take place in Myanmar.
