The Unknown Story of The Good Writer Part 1

Episode 1 of The Hidden Series

Legend has it that The Good Writer had been born with natural powers of writing. He could sing the ABC song at 1, could write during 4, could write any kind of essays by 7. It was said that many have tried to kidnap the kid. Therefore, the kid had to go into hiding in disguise as a normal person and his whereabouts are still yet unknown.

Kai Bo skipped back home gleefully. He had just gotten full marks for his composition, for his latest year end examination, again. He was an excellent writer and had fascinating ideas that intrigued the teacher. He was good in all genres, fantasy, horror and narratives in any way. It was quite normal for him to get a top score for it in class.

It is also told that there is an enemy. He was an old acquaintance of The Good Writer and has proclaimed the name Edgar the Great Eraser. He wreaked havoc in the 7 realms by erasing their history. 6 realms had already been destroyed, Edgar was heading for the last and final realm, he would take over the world soon. It was Earth.

Kai Bo threw the test paper on his table upon reaching his room at home. He was bored so he logged on the computer and started reading the news. Unknown object causing chaos in America. The first headline that popped up, was just that.

The people said that hidden in the Mystic Seas, a Magic Pen remains to be, heavily guarded by an army of sea creatures and countless trials. Should one get to the Magic Pen, it will help its owner in everything that it wants to do. Only a real Good Writer could get through its obstacles, the ability to write of its owner will be strengthened when the pen is obtained.

Just then, Kai Bo's mother received a call, her face went as pale as a sheet of paper upon answering the call. "Kai Bo, cone on, your father is in serious condition after an accident happened to him, let's go!" My eyes widened, in shock and fear.

My father had been warded in the ICU. When I reached there, he was hardly breathing, I stayed by his side. He rasped for air like a fish out of water, "The...the Mystic Seas, St...Straits of Malacca, find it! Find it before he does!!!" He shouted into my ear. He collapsed onto the bed. "Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep..." I looked at his face, he had that serious look on his face. I had to get that something, but where was it.

I looked into his pockets, I found a big piece of paper, in fact 2 big pieces of paper. One called "The Prophecy", the other, just a map. I looked around, noticing that my mother was talking to the nurse, I slipped into the lift. I took out "The Prophecy" and started reading.

"Where it lies in the Mystic Waters,

the seas hide it as properly,

once never found of the longest,

the hidden object will be freed.

In the wrong, evil shall rise to hell,

In the right, peace shall be restored.

The mortal realm of Earth be protected,

The Good Writer and Edgar the Eraser,

the great of great challenged,

fate is of the almighty object,

shall it be discovered, the secret of writing."

I looked at the map. Under the Straits of Malacca, especially deep, about 60 feet down. I would need to get it, before this Edgar guy or something. Once I got out of the lift, I took a cab to Woodlands Waterfront. I got ready before, I jumped.
