The Unwanted Child: The small poem story

Updated: Mar 1, 2021

Stanza 1: The Boy

There was a child,

poor thing he was,

never tasted meat,

he was abandoned.

In an orphanage he was,

as good as he was in it,

no one ever showered him,

with the endless love,

he had ever needed.

He watched as his friends,

boys or girls adopted away,

yet he stood there alone,

thinking about his adoption.

Stanza 2: Cursed

Never he thought about his chance,

he was a cursed but young boy like others,

no opportunity ever came for the poor thing,

he was in fact unwanted for a reason.

Children went to school,

he looked on with envy,

Children were loved by parents,

while he jealously looked out.

The time was to come,

but by then the time,

all hope was lost to him,

he accepted his undesired fate.

Stanza 3: Fitting?

A couple came to the orphanage,

they saw this fond and peculiar boy,

Jacksen Duong was his full name,

they loved the boy and decided.

His fate was to be changed,

love filled him immediately,

turns out he was quite good,

his life overturned.

Verse 4: A Happy Ending ;-)

The most loving parents,

he was the most lucky,

cooked and played with him,

and when meat came to him,

DELICIOUS,

a lucky boy forever, was he.
