The Challenger, Yeoh Kai Bo was pressured to accidentally let go of a big advantage. After an Accelerated London, Kai Bo persisted to hold advantage before making a big blunder, causing a completely losing endgame. A Draw occurred due to the inability to checkmate in a knight and bishop endgame. After several draw offers, the opponent finally agreed to it on move 104. Game 2 will happen on 17 December 2021.
