Hi guys, what’s up!
So, I saw this tournament and I read up on the rules and format of play. This is the 73rd National Schools Individual Chess Championships 2022, which has been categorised into a few sections and I qualify in the U-14 (Under 14) Section. Technically what will happen in the tournament is that there will be 7 rounds of online qualifiers in a day for a few sections on a chess website called Lichess and it will be played throughout nearly half of the whole day. After the scores have been tallied after 7 rounds of playing, the top 10 participants will advance to the finals, with will be OTB (Over-The-Board) playing, which will likely be at the Singapore Chess Federation Headquarters. The top 20 participants will receive prizes and only the top 3 in the tournament will obtain trophies. The registration fee is $30 and I was thinking whether I should join or not. What do you think, please do advise me, thanks for reading!
Cheers,
Da Good Writer
